Gridview updating multiple rows
I have used Data Lists for individual row by row editing, updating and deleting, just not the group process, so I am unsure where to start.
I have set it up as a normal row update, but of course when I click on the submit button for the checked rows, the error is that the index is out of range.
This of course makes sense since the button isn't associated with any one row Data Key index. "The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years.
I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing.
My limited experience is with Visual Basic and HTML soooooo I'm still stuck.

create a custom button and a template field in your datalist that holds the checkbox. Checked = True Then do something with other fields in the row object End If Next I'm not sure if Data List Row is the proper syntax since i almost exclusively use gridviews in my projects, but it should be something like that, or you can adapt your project to a gridview and use For each row as Grid View Row in my Grid View.
Rather than struggle longer, I went for a simple and fast solution that will work well.
